Bath driver faces several charges after leaving scene of DWI crash: Deputies say utility pole destroyed in accident

Deputies report the arrest of a 42-year-old Bath resident following an investigation into a one-vehicle crash.

The crash happened in Urbana on Mitchellsville Hill Road. It’s alleged that the operator, identified as 42-year-old John Wright crashed into a utility pole after his vehicle left the roadway.


He then fled the scene and was apprehended by police in Hammondsport.

Wright was charged with DWI, AUO, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and leaving the scene of a crash.

He was released after arraignment. The charges will be answered at a later date.
