Macedon man took vehicle from McDonald’s Lyons, then arrested a second time at Wayne County Jail

Deputies say a Macedon man took a vehicle that didn’t belong to him from the McDonald’s parking lot in Lyons, then was arrested again at the Wayne County Jail after damaging property.

On Thursday around 6:41 p.m. Audie Arliss, 36, of Lyons was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal contempt.

The charges stem from Arliss taking a vehicle that was parked at the McDonald’s in Lyons that did not belong to him.

Deputies say a court order of protection was active for the victim. Later in the day, he made contact with them again.

Arliss was taken into custody without incident and will answer the charges at a later date.

Less than two hours after being taken into custody he was arrested again at the Wayne County Jail after ripping a cord from the telephone box that was in his holding cell.

Arliss was charged with one count of criminal mischief and released on an appearance ticket for that incident.
