Lyons man punched, choked, and restrained woman during domestic: Now he faces felony charges

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following an incident involving his girlfriend.

According to a release, Anthony Nelson Jr., 34, was charged with assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, and aggravated family offense.

He was arrested on Wednesday around 4 p.m., according to deputies.

It’s alleged that Nelson got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend. That argument turned physical, and that’s when he became irate – punching, choking, and restraining the woman.

He was arraigned in Wayne County Court and will answer the charges at a later date.
