Syracuse school psychologist, high school swim coach charged with sex abuse in Cayuga County

Authorities say a woman who worked as a swim coach at Christian Brothers Academy and serves as a school psychologist in the Syracuse City School District has been charged with sex abuse in Cayuga County.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to media on Wednesday that Elizabeth Tucker-Schultz was arrested on October 7th.

She faces the misdemeanor charge of third-degree sex abuse in Fleming Town Court. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 18th.

CNYCentral reported that Tucker-Schultz is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case. CBA told CNYCentral that she’s been terminated from her employment as girls swimming and diving coach.
