One person is in critical condition at a hospital in Syracuse after a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer.
The crash happened in Moravia around 6 a.m.
Sheriff Brian Schenck said a tractor-trailer went off the road on Tollgate Hill Road between Routes 90 and 38. The truck then traveled over an embankment and came to rest.
The driver, who was not identified, was extricated from the truck – then airlifted to Upstate University Hospital.
He suffered serious injuries and remained in critical condition by afternoon.
The road was closed for several hours as crews worked the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
