The New York Yankees have finally named a starter for Game 1 of the American League Division Series.
Aaron Boone confirmed Sunday that right-hander Gerrit Cole will start Tuesday night against the Cleveland Guardians at Yankee Stadium.
Cole has had success this season against the Guardians, going 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in two starts.
Nestor Cortes will get the ball for Game 2 on Thursday, and Luis Severino will start on Saturday in Game 3.
The Yankees were 5-1 against Cleveland during the regular season, with three wins coming in the Bronx.
