Person attacked and robbed in city of Ithaca while walking down West State Street

One person suffered non life threatening injuries after being attacked and robbed by two people during the day.

According to a news release, on Wednesday around 2 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of West State Street for a robbery.

Officers spoke to a victim who reported that while walking down the street he was attacked from behind by two males who were unknown to him. The male suspects punched the victim repeatedly, knocking him to the ground, then went through his pockets – stealing cash, a cell phone, and charger.


The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was evaluated by EMS staff on scene.

The first suspect is described as a black male, who was wearing a red sweatshirt and light blue jeans. The second suspect is a black male wearing all gray.
