Driver charged with DWI in Sodus Point after smell of alcohol detected inside vehicle

Deputies report the arrest of a Rochester man following a traffic stop in Sodus Point.

According to a news release, Brandon Wilson-Rotmans, age 21, of Rochester was charged with DWI, operating with a BAC over 0.08%, and possession of open container.


Deputies were patroling Lake Road in Sodus Point and came upon Wilson-Rotmans stopped vehicle in the eastbound lane. While investigation, deputies observed the smell of aclohol.

He was found to have a BAC of 0.12% after a sample was secured.

He was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
