The Buffalo Bills are getting thin at the wide receiver position.
Head coach Sean McDermott spoke to the media Monday afternoon and said veteran wideout Jamison Crowder will be placed on injured reserve with a broken ankle.
Crowder was carted off the field with an air cast wrapped around his left leg in Sunday’s come-from-behind win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year deal with Buffalo this offseason.
With Crowder sidelined indefinitely and Isaiah McKenzie in concussion protocol, the Bills will likely sign a free agent. Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Jake Kumerow, and Khalil Shakir are the other wide receivers on the active roster.
