The New York Yankees fell to the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. With the loss, New York dropped two of three in the series.

Chi Chi Gonzalez was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to make a spot start and allowed one run on four hits over 4 2/3 innings while walking three and striking out three.

New York’s lone run came in the bottom of the fifth on a throwing error by the catcher. The Yankees had four hits, just one for extra bases.

Ron Marinaccio left the game with a shin injury. Manager Aaron Boone told reporters after the game that he will get an MRI, but it’s something he has been dealing with all season.

The Yankees will head to Texas to take on the Rangers in the final four games of the regular season. Jameson Taillon will get the ball on Monday night.
