Sabres trim training camp roster, send 21 players to Amerks

The Buffalo Sabres trimmed their training camp roster following Saturday’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Buffalo loaned the following players to the Rochester Americans, their AHL affiliate: Brandon Biro, Filip Cederqvist, Aleksandr Kisakov, Tyson Kozak, Jiri Kulich, Brett Murray, Isak Rosen, Lukas Rousek, Linus Weissbach, Oskari Laaksonen.

The Sabres also released the following players from their professional tryouts to join the Amerks: Mason Jobst, Michael Mersch, Koshen Olischefski, Josh Passolt, Brendan Warren, Zach Berzolla, Mitch Eliot, Ethan Prow, Peter Tischke, Michael Houser, Beck Warm.

Matt Savoie, Buffalo’s top pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, was loaned to the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL.

The Sabres have to finalize their 23-man roster by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 10.
