The New York Yankees have reinstated infielder DJ LeMahieu from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles.
In a corresponding move, New York optioned outfielder Tim Locastro to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
LeMahieu spent about three weeks on the injured list with right second toe inflammation. He is batting .262/.358/.381 with 12 home runs and 46 RBIs this season.
Locastro has been up and down from Triple-A this season. In 43 at-bats with the Yankees, he hit .186/.239/.349 with two homers and four RBIs.
