Earlier this week the Seneca Falls Planning Board met to potentially consider approval of the Cayuga Nation’s cannabis-growing facility at 191 Ovid Street.
The Nation submitted site plans to convert a food-growing field and barn at 191 Ovid Street into a 15,500-square-foot cannabis-growing facility.
When planning board members met no action was taken. Supervisor Mike Ferrara provided an update on behalf of the planning board after the meeting.
“There is more information needed with reguard to their SEQR Par 1, and site plan,” Ferrara said via email. “B&L, our engineering consultant, has provided the board with an initial review of the application and requires additional information in which to complete their review.”
He said B&L recommended a coordinated review for SEQR.
The email continued, “It is anticipated that B&L will receive the information from the Cayuga Nation that is needed to complete thier review for both SEQR and the site plan two weeks before our next meeting which is set for November 3rd. The coordinated review will also be completed so I am hopeful that the board could act on the site plan during the November 3rd meeting.”
