A state audit of the Lyons Central School District has found that there have been some payroll issues.
The school’s payroll supervisor did not ensure employees’ salaries and wages were always paid accurately.
As result, one employee was paid nearly $5,000 more than they were supposed to- while another was underpaid by hundreds of dollars.
The audit found that leave time was not always accrued, which resulted in employees receiving or losing sick time they earned.
The school district agreed to corrective action.
It’s unclear what was done on behalf of the employees who did not receive their full-due.
