Syracuse Mets fall short to Lehigh Valley in season finale

The Syracuse Mets fell to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 4-3, in the season finale on Wednesday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium.

JT Riddle drove in two of the three runs with a single in the bottom of the third inning. Branden Fryman plated the other run with a groundout.

New York Mets reliever Mychal Givens started a rehab assignment and tossed a scoreless inning. Alex Claudio, Stephen Nogosek, Jose Butto, and Harol González surrendered runs.

Syracuse finished the regular season with a 64-85 record. They will open their 2023 season in 184 days, on March 31, against the Worcester Red Sox.
