Family of teen who died at Bristol Mountain sues over fall: Says operators should have blocked off olympic slope

A lawsuit has been filed by the mother of a Syracuse-area sutdent who was killed in a skiing accident at Bristol Mountain last winter.

Lisa Cuomo, a Manlius resident, said in court filings that her 15-year-old was killed after accessing a dangerous, olympic training ski jump that should have been blocked off.

Christian Cuomo was on his first ski trip to Bristol when he was thrown 95 feet through the air away from the slope, then fell about five stories.

Christian was a student at the Christian Brothers Academy.
