The check presentation was held at the Goulds Pumps HQ in Seneca Falls. ITT Industrial Process President Dave Steblein presented the $30,000 check to JoAnne Ryan, President & CEO of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The donation will help the organization’s mission to support families of children who are receiving ongoing medical treatments.
The check presentation follows ITT’s Industrial Process Leadership team’s recent visit to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Rochester, N.Y.
At the visit, they learned more about the current needs of the organization and how the donation money will be used to better the lives of families in need.
Proud to have a legacy and a commitment to the community
ITT Goulds Pumps has been around for 175 years, and over the years they have created a legacy, one that Stebelin is very proud of.
“We’re very proud of our legacy, our commitment to the community, and to our full philanthropic initiatives. Today is our first dedication to the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester and we’re very excited about it.”
Ryan said she is very grateful for the tremendous gift which will help the charity to provide for the aid programs and services that they do.
“We run two houses. We are filled with Rochester Regional Health Care System and URMC Golisano Children’s Hospital,” said Ryan.
“So funds like this are just really a tremendous gift for our mission and the ability to execute that mission at the highest level.”
Global missions coming together for a greater purpose
The non-profit organization and the pumps company are both global missions that realized coming together to serve the world is a shared interest.
“It’s a global organization. We’re also a global organization. Our people globally can recognize a donation to the Ronald McDonald House and assimilate their feelings towards that,” said Steblein.
“We try to do both local philanthropic initiatives as well as global so that our employees feel close to the dedication.”
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is a global mission with 387 chapters in 65 countries. Serving over 2 million children a year and their families, Ryan thinks it’s amazing ITT Goulds Pumps has the opportunity to be philanthropic.
“From the longevity of how this company has served, it’s pretty impressive and by the nature of them having the opportunity to be philanthropic, they’re just amazing.”
