Town of Geneva hopes to install electric vehicle charging station by the end of the year

The town of Geneva hopes to have a two-bay electric vehicle charging station in the town hall parking lot by late this year or early 2023.

NYSEG Make Ready program will cover 90% of the cost

Geneva Town Supervisor Mark Venuti says the town qualified for a NYSEG program that will pay most of the cost.

The charging station will have one standard bay and one quick-charge bay. It will be open to the public and will also be used to charge a new electric pickup truck that’s been ordered for the Code Enforcement Department. Due to supply chain issues, the town doesn’t expect to receive that vehicle until next year.
