JMA Wireless Dome has a sound problem, according to SU football fans in attendance this year

The JMA Wireless Dome, formerly known as the Carrier Dome, has seen its share of updates and upgrades over the last several years.

Altogether, upwards of $118 million was invested into the facility.

However, after recent games in Syracuse, a new, but not-so-different problem emerged. It has to do with sound.

Corey Herrington is a season ticket holder who spoke with CNYCentral about the issue. In his estimation, JMA Wireless doesn’t get the job done.

It results in fans missing important calls, and not fully understand what’s happening. In fact, some fans are opening up their phones and turning to Twitter to get answers mid-game.

“You need every single fan locked into this game at all times,” he said of the existing sound system. “I think that if they fix that it’s only going to better the fan experience.”

Syracuse University has not commented on the issue.
