Police report the arrest of a motorist following a traffic stop in Williamson.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael S. Pingryn, 54, of Haverstraw for driving while intoxicated.
Pingryn was initially stopped after he was observed running a red light. During the traffic stop, police observed signs of intoxication and conducted standardized field sobriety testing. Pingryn failed roadside testing and was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted a chemical test yielding a .24% BAC.
Pingryn is due to appear before the Town of Williamson Court at a later date.
