It was a big weekend for the Mets and Yankees as they were able to handle business against their opponents. The Mets took two of three against Oakland and were able to keep the Braves behind them in the NL East divisional standings. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans look at the series and the starts from Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer. Pete Alonso also smashed his way into Mets history on Sunday.
The Yankees swept all four against the Red Sox. Paul and Kyle look at the series and how big it was to take not only this four-game set but also the season-long matchup against Boston. Aaron Judge didn’t homer and looks to get the job done in Toronto. The guys discuss how you can’t call it a failure he didn’t do it at home given how good of a series overall he had.
Rochester and Syracuse return home for the final three games of the International League season. Paul and Kyle look at the games and what to expect from the smallest sample size of the year for the teams.
