The Buffalo Bills received a massive blow on Saturday as they placed safety Micah Hyde on injured reserve with a season-ending neck injury.
Hyde’s agent, Jack Bechta, tweeted Saturday that a healthy return in 2023 is expected.
Jaquan Johnson is expected to start in place of Hyde against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and should be in line for an extended run in the lineup. Buffalo may also be without safety Jordan Poyer on Sunday as he’s listed as questionable with a foot injury.
Hyde had seven tackles over the first two games this season. Last year, the 31-year-old was a second-team All-Pro who tallied 74 combined tackles, five interceptions, and one sack in 17 starts for Buffalo.
