Numerous fire departments were called to the scene of a working structure fire on Kiser Road in Horseheads.
The call came in Tuesday evening around 7 p.m.
Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the side of the house, as well as several of the windows on both floors.
Flames weren’t visible, and firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
