Painted Post man accused of stealing over $1000 in benefits

Police say a Painted Post man was arrested following a larceny investigation.

According to a news release, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dakota S. Pielo, 29, for grand larceny.

Charges allege that Pielo received over $1000 in public assistance benefits that he was not entitled to.

Pielo will appear in the Village of Montour Falls Court at a later date.
