Lyons man arrested twice in one day after fraud investigation

Police say a Lyons man was arrested twice in one day on multiple charges in Wayne County.

Deputies arrested David R. Jones Jr., 38, of Lyons for petit larceny and misuse of food stamps.

Charges allege that Jones, who was a recipient of SNAP, allowed another individual to use his benefit card in the amount of $405.98.

Additional investigation revealed that while at a relative’s house in Wolcott, Jones is accused of touching a juvenile in their intimate parts. He was further charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

Jones was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
