The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a string of suspicious incidents in the towns of Lodi and Ovid.
Deputies have received three reports of what appear to be glass jars being thrown at moving vehicles by occupants from an oncoming vehicle.
As the vehicles pass each other in opposite directions, the suspects throw a glass jar at the vehicle. The first two incidents occurred on September 14 on Route 414 in Lodi. That incident resulted in property damage.
The third incident happened on Route 96 in Ovid, which resulted in the driver being injured and his vehicle leaving the roadway.
So far, the incidents have happened after dark.
Investigators are actively pursuing leads and are asking for information from the public.
Leads should be sent to Lt. Thompson by phone at (315) 220-3449 or by e-mail at [email protected]
