The Rochester Red Wings opened their final road trip of the season with a 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Bisons in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Sahlen Field.
Rochester was two outs away from a victory when Connor Sadzeck surrendered a game-tying solo home run to LJ Talley.
After the game went to extra innings and the Red Wings failed to score in the top of the 10th inning, Matt Cronin gave up a walk-off single to Addison Barger, who was playing in his first Triple-A game.
Jake Alu continued to swing a hot bat as he picked up an RBI single in the top of the sixth. Nick Banks drove in the other run with his 10th home run of the season in the top of the ninth.
Joan Adon started on the mound and tossed five innings of one-run ball. The right-hander has allowed just four runs over his last four starts (20 1/3 innings).
The second game of this six-game series will take place on Wednesday at 6:05 p.m.
