The Syracuse Orange football team improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2018 with a thrilling 32-29 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon at JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse was trailing 29-25 with 51 seconds to go. After a defensive holding and pass interference call set the Orange up at the 25-yard line, Garrett Shrader connected with Oronde Gadsen II on a corner route for a touchdown with seven seconds remaining, and that stood as the game-winner.
A combined 42 points were scored in a wild back-and-forth fourth quarter.
