The Rochester Red Wings had its five-game win streak snapped with a 4-3 loss to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Saturday night at Frontier Field.

Rochester led 3-1 going into the top of the eighth when Lehigh Valley plated three runs to take the lead and never looked back as they held on for the victory.

John Nogowski provided all of the Red Wings’ offense as he drove in a run in the bottom of the first inning with a groundout and smoked a two-run double in the bottom of the third.

Logan Verrett started on the mound and tossed seven innings of one-run ball while striking out six. Luis Avilán and Juan Minaya combined to allow three runs in relief.

The Red Wings will try to bounce back on Sunday and take five of six from the IronPigs. The first pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m.
