The Syracuse Mets were outlasted by the Buffalo Bisons, 12-7, on Thursday night at NBT Bank Stadium.
Syracuse led 5-1 after five innings, but a five-run sixth and a five-run eighth propelled Buffalo to victory.
JT Riddle smacked his 10th and 11th home runs of the season, one of which tied the game in the seventh. Dominic Smith plated a pair of runs with a double, Daniel Palka drove in two runs, and Yolmer Sanchez chipped in with a run-scoring single.
Jose Butto started on the hill and tossed five innings of one-run ball. Then, the bullpen collapsed as Stephen Nogosek, Mike Montgomery, Jordan Yamamoto, and Trey Cobb combined to allow 11 runs.
Syracuse will try to snap its four-game skid on Friday at 6:35 p.m.
