All New Yorkers enrolled in the SNAP food assistance program will received the maximum level of benefit in September.
Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the nearly $234 million in federal funding is coming to the state’s economy through SNAP this month.
Those households already near maximum benefit will receive a supplemental payment of approximately $95, which will help families hit hard by inflation.
The benefit payments are expected to be paid out between September 15 and September 26.
