New York’s current 23rd District has new representation.
Congressman Joe Sempolinski was sworn-in to the House of Representatives on Tuesday. He won a special election in August to fill the remainder of Rep. Tom Reed’s term.
Congressman Sempolinski was selected to serve on the Education and Labor Committee and Budget Committee.
“I am extremely proud to have been selected to serve on both the Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee. I believe that these committees are where my office can do a lot of good for the people of the 23rd District and the country as a whole,” said Sempolinski. “America’s students are in crisis coming out of the COVID lockdowns and America’s parents are under attack for standing up for their children. I will make sure their voices are heard. I will also work to make sure our outrageous spending gets under control.”
