Interlakes Ortho welcomes new surgeon

Interlakes Orthopedic welcomed fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon Nicolai Baecher, M.D. this week. 

Baecher is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery to its talented team. He specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery and will be seeing patients at Finger Lakes Health Commons, 789 Pre-Emption Road in Geneva.

Baecher attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where he also completed his internship and residency in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and served as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Hand, Microsurgery and Reconstructive Orthopaedics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Hamot in Erie, PA and his Intramural Research Training Award fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

His professional affiliations include Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and he is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Baecher lives in Victor with his wife and 2 kids and enjoys skiing, CrossFit, nature, and exploring the outdoors with his family.
