Police: Waterloo man took over $1,000 to do residential work, then never completed it

Police arrested a Waterloo contractor after an investigation into incomplete work.

Brian Macgill, 49, of Waterloo was charged with one count of scheme to defraud, a felony, as well as petit larceny.


Macgill is accused of taking money from several residents in Seneca Falls over the course of months with the intent of completing residential work.

He never started the work and didn’t return the money. The value exceed $1,000, according to police.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was arraigned at the Seneca County Correctional Facility.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
