On Saturday around 11:30 p.m. the Tompkins County 911 Center received numerous reports of shots fired in the North Side neighborhood in the city of Ithaca.
Responding officers located the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of Alice Miller Way.
Officers found one person who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to a news release, officers also located numerous spent shell casings, along with property damage to several vehicles and a house that were struck by the gunfire.
The injured person was transported to a regional trauma center for treatment.
The investigation is active and no one is in custody at this time. Police are asking anyone who might have information about it to contact IPD.
