Geneva City Council has filled a vacancy.
Republican Kyle Brimm was approved by a 5-3 vote.
Councilors Jan Regan, Ken Camera, and Laura Salamendra voted against his appointment.
Brimm is an employee of Paychex.
He replaces John Salone, who passed away earlier this summer. Brimm will now appear on the ballot in November to fill the remainder of former Councilman John Pruett, who resigned last year.
