Police say a 35-year-old was arrested for attempted murder on Thursday, September 9 in the village of Bath.
According to the village police department, officers responded to an area near Delaware Avenue for a stabbing incident that occurred around 5:30 a.m.
Once they arrived, officers found a 32-year-old man who was stabbed and had multiple slash wounds. Police say the suspect fled on foot.
The victim was taken to Ira Davenport Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Around 6:30 p.m. Herbert Wood, 35, was located at Tops Markets and taken into custody. Police say Wood is a convicted violent felon, who was charged with attempted murder in this incident.
The investigation remains active at this time.
