Clyde man arrested on weapon charge after traffic stop

Police say a Clyde motorist was charged following a routine traffic stop on Friday.

Joseph E. Cole, 70, of Clyde was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


State Police observed Cole operating a vehicle with improper taillights on State Route 14 in Lyons. A traffic stop was initiated and Cole was found to be intoxicated. Additionally, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and multiple other traffic violations.

All charges are returnable to the Town of Lyons Court at a later date.
