State police arrested a Syracuse man following a stabbing at the New York State Fair.
Richard Killins, 34, of Syracuse was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance after stabbing a 27-year-old during a dispute.
Police described the incident as a physical altercation at the state fair. The victim was identified as Jonah Maldonado, 27, of Syracuse.
Maldonado was transported by AMR ambulance to Upstate University Hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Killins was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment.
