The Ithaca Police Department arrested a 28-year-old following a report of a male who made threats toward students and police in Tompkins County.
It was reported that the male threatened to commit a mass killing of Cornell University Students and Ithaca Police Officers. It was also reported that the male stated he would use a rifle to commit said killings.
Austin L. Schiller, 28, of Ithaca was located on September 1 and charged with making a terroristic threat.
Schiller was arraigned in the Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of bail.
At this time there are no other known threats to the City of Ithaca, Cornell University, or any other local institution.
