GPD: Geneva man leads officers on foot, bicycle chase in city

A Geneva man was taken into custody after leading police on a foot and bicycle chase in the city this week.

It happened on Monday after officers received a report of a drunk man on Exchange Street.

Upon arrival, officers replied the person involved, Joshua Silinas-Burgos was known to have a warrant out against him.

He fled on foot and later a bicycle. Officers pursued until taking him into custody.

One of the officers and Silinas-Burgos received minor injuries. Both were treated.

Police say Silinas-Burgos was charged with resisting arrest and failure to appear. The charges will be answered at a later date.
