The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Fuller Road in the town of Aurelius on Wednesday.
Around 1:13 p.m. deputies responded to the report of a serious injury crash, in which a 2007 Honda motorcycle was traveling north and collided with a delivery van that was turning into a driveway.
The operator of the motorcycle, who was not released as of Thursday morning, was transported to Auburn Community Hospital where they succumbed to injuries sustained in the wreck.
The driver of the van was not injured.
Sheriff Schenck is asking anyone with information that could help investigators to contact the criminal investigations division at (315) 253-1610.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police, Cayuga County E-911, Aurelius Fire Department, AMR Ambulance, the Cayuga Fire Department, and Cayuga County Coroner’s Office.
