Hearings are scheduled for late-October in the arson case that gripped Northern Seneca County earlier this year.
A baby was doused with lighter fluid and nearly set on fire, according to prosecutors.
Seneca County District Attorney Mark Sinkiewicz told the Finger Lakes Times that motions were argued this week in court for cases against Jamie Avery Jr. and Lisbeth Collado.
Both face an array of charges including attempted murder and arson related to the May 3 incident at Love’s Travel Stops in Tyre.

A 1-year-old girl was doused in a flammable liquid, and the two unsuccessfully tried to set the child on fire. The child was treated at a local hospital. Another child, a 3-year-old was found with a head injury inside a truck.
Both are expected to make a full recovery. The children are theirs, according to prosecutors in Seneca County, who say the motive is unclear and may never be explained.
Avery is being represented by Assistant Public Defender John Nabinger while Collado is represented by local attorney Joe Sapio.
