The Buffalo Sabres are bringing back the red and black jerseys for the 2022-23 season.
The team announced Wednesday that they are adding a new black and red jersey to their uniform set, starting on November 23 against the St. Louis Blues.
For 12 home games, Buffalo will wear the third jersey, which is modeled after the primary uniforms the Sabres wore from 1996 until 2006. The actual jersey design will be released at a later date.
According to Buffalo Sabres PR, the team went 345-279-114 in 738 regular-season games and won 48 playoff games in the black and red era.
