Incarcerated woman faces new charges while in custody

Police say there have been more charges against a Corning woman who is currently incarcerated.

Amanda R. Painter, 29, of Corning was arrested for misuse of food stamps and petit larceny.


Investigation revealed that Painter was allegedly receiving benefits from the Steuben County Department of Social Services that she was not eligible to receive. 

Painter is currently incarcerated in the Steuben County Jail on an unrelated incident and was arraigned and returned to custody.
