Pair charged in Canandaigua after reporting a false incident to police

Police say two Canandaigua individuals were arrested after reporting a false incident.

Canandaigua Police Department arrested Colleen Marshall, 33, for making a punishable false written statement and Jamie Fry, 20, for falsely reporting an incident.

It is alleged that Fry reported a false incident on August 17 which did not occur. It is further alleged that Marshall provided a sworn affidavit to police in connection with the incident reported by Fry, knowing it was false.

Fry and Marshall will appear before the Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
