The average price for a gallon of gasoline continues to fall.
According to AAA, the average price per gallon in the Rochester area is down 10 cents from last week, along with the Syracuse area. In the Ithaca area, gasoline prices are down 16 cents from the last check by AAA.
Oil prices have stabilized after falling.
The decrease comes just in time as travelers hit the road for end of summer trips.
Unlike Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, Labor Day will offer some of the lowest gas prices seen since early winter.
