The Syracuse Mets fell to the Worcester Red Sox, 7-5, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium. With the loss, Worcester won the series by taking four of six.
Josh Hejka made his second start of the season for Syracuse and allowed four runs on four hits over three innings while walking one and striking out five. Nate Fisher surrendered a pair of runs in relief, and Trey Cobb gave up an unearned run.
Nick Dini crushed his seventh home run of the season for the Mets. Khalil Lee drove in a pair of runs, while Terrance Gore and Gosuke Katoh also had RBIs.
Syracuse will get the day off on Monday before they open a six-game series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Tuesday night at PNC Field.
