The Rochester Red Wings snapped a three-game skid with a 5-2 victory over the Indianapolis Indians on Sunday afternoon at Victory Field.

Rochester trailed 2-0 after eight innings but a five-run ninth inning lifted the Red Wings over the Indians in the series finale.

Taylor Gushue put Rochester on the board with a groundout to second. One batter later, Adrian Sanchez smoked a bases-clearing double to give Rochester a 4-2 lead. Andrew Stevenson capped off the big inning with a run-scoring single. In the bottom of the frame, Jordan Weems retired the Indians in order to secure the win.

Daniel Ponce de Leon made his sixth start of the season with Rochester and tossed six innings of two-run ball while striking out seven.

The Red Wings will get the day off on Monday before they begin a six-game series with the Toledo Mud Hens on Tuesday at Frontier Field.
