The New York Mets were blanked by the Colorado Rockies, 1-0, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. Despite the loss, New York won the series by taking three of four.
Max Scherzer started on the hill for the Mets and tossed seven innings of one-run ball while striking out 11. The only run he allowed came in the seventh on a sacrifice fly.
New York had just three hits and finished 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, and Brett Baty had singles.
Joely Rodríguez and Mychal Givens had scoreless appearances out of the bullpen.
The Mets will get the day off on Monday before they open a three-game series at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
